Edwinstowe has the best homes in the region

Rufford Pastures in Edwinstowe has been recognised as the best new homes residential development of its type in the region by the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) at their annual Building Excellence Awards.

The award recognises the exceptional build quality, innovative design, space standards and the green credentials of the new homes which are currently for sale in the heart of the eclectic rural village of Edwinstowe.

The local family run company, Woodhead Homes received the award as the third phase of new homes has just been released for “early bird” reservations. Phase 3 has 13 homes, ranging from bungalows, to three, four and five bed properties.  With 30% of the phase already reserved off plan, the team are expecting a busy summer of sales.

One couple who have recently moved into Rufford Pastures said “My partner and I couldn’t be happier with our experience of buying our first home with Woodhead homes. We originally reserved a plot on a different development but when my partner came across this site, we viewed the show home together and couldn’t then imagine moving into the home on the other development. We fell in love with the look and the size of the property but what really made our decision to change homes was the layout and quality of how they are finished off.”

They have taken to Instagram to share their new home journey, take a look at peartreelane1.

Ian Powell, Head of Housing and Regeneration at Woodhead Homes said: “Every detail in the design of Rufford Pastures has been carefully considered with a real focus on quality and sustainability. We’ve sourced the very best materials and products from natural oak doors to beautiful bespoke designer kitchens, made locally by Colour Hill

Joe Kemish, of Joseph Kemish Architects highlighted why the new homes really stand out from the crowd….

“The homes are super energy efficient, with a fabric first approach. The development offers much needed multi generation living accommodation encouraging a community spirit with carefully designed buildings and community green spaces which includes an exercise loop, a community orchard area, a central ‘green boulevard’ and a children’s play area.”

Rufford Pastures will now go through to the National grand final in the Best High Volume New Housing development category with winners announced on Friday 8th November 2019.
