Life Inside a Cooper

From table tennis in the kitchen to lapping up the rays in the garden, we take a look at what life inside one of our most popular homes is like. Val and Dave, kindly shared their recent experience of isolating at home.

Being isolated has been very tough for everyone especially for the elderly (us!!)

With just the two of us here, since the garden is now sorted, we can relax and enjoy life in our lovely spacious home. Although being together 24/7 has its own challenges for sure, we both like to be organised and we do have our daily routine which helps.

The weather has been great, which has helped immensely. It’s like being on the French Riviera in our back garden, on sunbeds, reading, relaxing, not a care in the world if only!

Our daily exercise is important. We may go for a bike ride or go for a walk either into Edwinstowe, across the fields adjacent to the river or maybe to Rufford Abbey which is quiet. Always aware of social distancing of course.

We occasionally enjoy a game of table tennis in our kitchen, or chess with one of our sons via the internet. We also have an ongoing darts competition with family members in Kirklington, Manchester and South Africa. We are currently bottom of the league table but its great fun and socially good to keep in touch.

We miss, of course, meeting up with family and friends, I miss playing golf and the banter that goes with it. But we will get through these terribly sad times for so many, take care and be safe!

Oh one more thing. Thanks to our wonderful NHS and of course those that have come to our aid including Ian, Sue and Kerry!

Val and Dave live in a beautiful Cooper, which is a contemporary designed, detached, 3 bedroom home at Rufford Pastures in Edwinstowe. Featuring 1,227sqft (114m²) of open plan space set over two floors the Cooper has stunning floor to ceiling windows which really set it apart from other homes.

The ground floor includes a spacious lobby leading to an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with and adjacent utility room and WC. Two sets of bi-folding doors lead directly to the garden.

The Cooper has been an incredibly popular home on the development and there is currently just two Coopers available which are estimated to complete in Autumn 2020.
