Rufford Pastures: the Pawfect Home for this Dachshund Puppy

Introducing one of Rufford Pastures’ newest (and littlest!) residents: Winston the miniature Dachshund!

At just a few months old, Winston hasn’t been living with his owners Lottie and Brad for long, but he already loves exploring the open plan living spaces of their Foxtail home.

As Lottie explains: “The living room is his favourite part of the house, he loves getting his toys out one by one and leaving them all over the floor!”

Winston’s also been able to explore the beautiful scenery and walks that surround Rufford Pastures’ picturesque village location of Edwinstowe, situated right in the heart of Sherwood Forest.

“Sherwood Pines is just down the road and we love taking Winston there” adds Lottie “and we can walk him down to the local shops on Edwinstowe High Street”.

Plus there’s the beautiful new solar path that winds through Rufford Pastures itself, surrounded by wildflowers and illuminated by stylish ‘Woodle Lights’ to create the perfect setting for evening walks, right on the development’s doorstep.

In fact, Winston was one of the first to try it out: whilst sheltering from the rain under his Woodhead Homes umbrella!

And when all that walking gets a bit too tiring for his little legs, Winston can always take a quick breather!

It’s tiring work being a little puppy!

Not that this happens very often, as Lottie says “he’s got boundless energy, he hardly ever sits still!”

Special thanks to Brad, Lottie and of course Winston for taking the time to tell us about their Rufford Pastures experience. Click here to find out more about this award winning development
